The First Annual Banyan Odyssey FUNraiser!

“The future is something which everyone reaches at the rate of 60 minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is.”
– C.S. Lewis

Thank you for being a part of building the future of The Banyan Odyssey, one step at a time!

Here’s a little event recap… and a sneak peak into a chance to participate if you missed it!

Google, aka today’s dictionary, defines “success” as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. That’s how we feel about the FUNraiser! Thanks to you, we accomplished our goal of raising funds for our ultimate goal: to provide a safe living environment and employment for developmentally/intellectually handicapable adults over the age of 22. For now, we are funding Camp Banyan, the educational program, and more!

You volunteers and guests definitely put the “fun” in FUNraiser. There was an Art Show with some AMAZING art, a Silent Auction (with so many goodies), a Live Auction, games, glorious food (made by our campers), a band (The Orange Groove Band, find them here), singing, dancing, Culver’s Frozen Custard and a Costume Contest! Not to mention it took place on the stunning Creek Under the Son Grounds.  We loved seeing our guests and young adults chatting and laughing in the beautiful lit arena.

Due to the rain, things like star-gazing, carriage rides, and a photo booth did not happen, but spirits were not dampened!

So we thank you again for being a part of our story and we hope you’re loving your auction winnings! If you were not able to attend but want to show your support, click here to GIVE securely online.

We also sold our very first annual Banyan Odyssey Christmas tree ornament, they are $10 each!  Keep on the lookout for a Facebook event where we will show them and other items you can purchase to support the cause!
