DESCRIPTION:LEARN A NEW ART MEDIUM IN NOVEMBER \nThe Banyan Odyssey is hosting a free Art Class for our neurodiverse friends at the wonderful Stirling Art Gallery! \nMaster Artist Joy Swanson\, from Dunedin’s Stirling Art Gallery\, will lead Banyan artists to create their own “Scratch Art” masterpiece to take home.  Scratch Art uses a sharpened dowel to scratch off black ink to reveal a color or metallic surface underneath (see Joy’s owl below).  Participants will create a sea turtle\, owl\, butterfly or their own design.  There is no cost for student artists.  Class is 4:00 – 6:00pm \n6:00pm: Optional group dinner at Casa Tina\, a Mexican restaurant located up the block from the gallery. Highland Ave in Clearwater 33756 (the former Suncoast YMCA building).  Ms. Jane is Camp Director. At LiFT we have an industrial kitchen\, a gym\, and loads of space to learn independence skills and how to navigate the world around us. Of course\, this means we’ll be exploring the community in the Mobile Classroom. \nThe Fourth Week of Camp will be at Grace Christian Fellowship 901 Ridge Rd SW\, Largo\, FL 33770 (last summer’s location). We will be “EXPLORING CREATIVITY”! Participants will experiment in different art forms with some of our favorite Master Teachers.
